JENI WALKER
Before setting up my own business five years ago, I spent seven years working at the Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Centre with ex-race horses. Most of these horses required re-breaking and re-schooling and were then re-homed successfully. Before working at the TRC, I worked in event, dressage and training establishments. I have been lucky enough to own and compete on my own horses for the last 20 years.

I am a Level Three NVQ Assessor, have my BHSAI Int SM, NVQ Level three, Equine Body Workers Qualification and Certificate in Education.
I have taught private clients for a number of years on a freelance basis and I am brilliant at helping people regain lost confidence and helping people realise their goals.
I am now available as a freelance Instructor to teach you at home on your own horse or at H.E.C if you prefer.
I compete throughout the year at British Eventing, British Dressage and BSJA.
H.E.C provides a relaxing and quiet atmosphere which most horses respond very well to, which in turn helps with their re-schooling and education.
References are available from clients who have sent their horses to H.E.C for breaking or reschooling. Please see The Livery Yard page for rates.
Testimonials
May I take this opportunity to thank you and your kind gentle horse Murphy, you have helped me enormously your kind and patient approach has allowed me to re- gain some renewed confidence, I have enjoyed meeting you and Murphy and the lessons you have given were absolutely spot on to my needs and requirements considering I have done very little riding over the last 20 years to have me cantering and popping small fences after only 3 lessons is a testament to both your skills as an riding instructor and the personal skills you posses to encourage one and build confidence .I will have no hesitation in recommending you to budding equestrians. Thank you and I hope to see you again
After losing all confidence but still having the love of horses I decided to give hawthorn Equestrian Centre a go. If I didn't enjoy it then I would give up the riding forever. My confidence was non existant, on that 1st lesson nearly 2 years ago Jeni had to walk with me on a lead rope on the trusted favourite "Trixie". It is with great thanks to Jeni and all down there at Hawthorns that I can say am lovin' the riding and recently tore up Pilling sands on Trixie, following Jeni - and no lead rope in site!! Thanks very much for all the patience and caring showed in order for me to truly enjoy the horses, riding, great company in a smashing place! xxxx
